Our Story
Family Built on Bees
Born and raised in Missouri's Greater Kansas City Northland, I started TNT Bee Farms in 2017 for a simple reason: my son and I both have bad allergies, and local honey was getting expensive. I'm also the kind of person who'd rather build something myself than depend on someone else to provide for my family — a mindset that only got stronger after what I saw overseas in Iraq.
I served almost 9 years in the U.S. Army — as a Cavalry Scout, then as an Infantry Officer, finishing as a Captain. I'm a 100% disabled veteran, and beekeeping has genuinely helped me manage PTSD.
I'm a graduate of Heroes to Hives, a national program supporting veterans through beekeeping. I've also completed my first certification exam toward becoming a Great Plains Master Beekeeper.
Today, TNT Bee Farms runs 65 hives across two farms near Platte City. This is a family operation in every real sense: my son Collin works the hives with me weekly, and the rest of my kids assist in different parts of the business — this farm runs on the whole family, not just me.
TNT stands for Taylor & Taylor. It's a name built around family, plain and simple — there's nothing more important to me than mine, and this farm exists because of every one of them.
